Defence

BioGuard Spa Defence prevents staining and water discolouration from metals, and scale build-up from excessive calcium.  Used regularly it will protect your spa from scaling and staining, saving time and money in costly maintenance and repairs.

• Prevents calcium and magnesium ions present in ‘hard’ water from precipitating out of solution.  This minimises crystallisation and scale formation on spa surfaces, in pipes, filtration systems and heaters.
• Removes many freshly deposited metal stains from sufaces without the need to drain your spa.
• Helps prevent iron, copper, manganese and other metals from discolouring water and staining surfaces.
• Protects spa from effects of high pH and hot turbid water.

Directions for use

For best results, add to water when the chlorine reading is 3.0 ppm (6.0 ppm for bromine) or less.  Do not add when the chlorine reading exceeds 5.0ppm (11.0ppm bromine).  High chlorine/bromine levels will break down the active constituent of the product and render it ineffective.

 Initial and maintenance treatment

Backwash or clean filter.  Add 30mL of BioGuard Spa Defence per 1,000 litres of water once a week.  Pour product directly into water with pump operating.  Run pump for at least 4 hours after treatment.

Existing metal stains and/or sclae

To assist removal of existing scale deposits or metal stains, brush effected area daily with stiff-bristled brush and treat as per initial treatment.

Storage and disposal

Store under cover in a dry, clean and cool well ventilated place away from sunlight.  Store and transport in an upright container.  In case of spillage, flush with large quantities of water.  Rinse empty container in the spa water before disposal.
