Spa pools with a water surface of 5m² or less, do not need to be fenced as long as they meet the criteria prescribed in F9/AS2. See the specifications below for covers on small heated pools. If your cover does not meet these specifications or if your spa pool doesn’t meet the specifications it will need to be fenced according to the current legislation.
This checklist has been provided for pool owners to check their pool fencing meets the specifications of the current legislation. Poolside Christchurch has Independently Qualified Pool Inspectors (IQPI’s) who can complete your pool fencing inspection. Contact the office to book an inspection. Inspections can be completed up to 6 months earlier or later than your due date so there is flexibility for the timing of an inspection. Click on the link below to download the checklist.
Please see the separate information for spas with a surface area of 5 m² for details of their safety requirements.
We are able to test your water when NZ is at alert level 3. We have created a process that protects both our team members and our clients. Please click on this link for information on how this process will work.
When NZ moves to alert level 3 we will be resuming operations. Orders for pool supplies can be placed via email or via our online store. If you opt for a store pick-up following payment of your order the document below outlines how this process will occur. Please familiarise yourself with the details before you come to collect your order.
The retail store is closed in response to level 4 restrictions for Covid 19.
WE MAY STILL BE ABLE TO SUPPLY YOU WITH CHEMICALS
Without proper pool and spa maintenance (which includes circulation and treatment of water) various pathogens can grow, such as Pseudomonas, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Shigella, etc. It can also create a breeding ground for mosquitoes, other pests and the diseases they may carry, which presents a risk not only to bathers but to the entire community at large. We will do our best to supply clients with goods whilst working within the current restrictions if we can do so without any risk of transmission of the virus.
Please watch for updates on our website, Facebook page and via email.
